239 Robinson Road, Mount Mee has opened its doors to guests from the 1st of October 2015.
The new owners and hosts Trevor & Jackie Franklin purchased the old B&B in April of this year and have been busy renovating to re-open.
Trevor & Jackie, both born in England, came over to Australia at different times, Trevor in the early 1950’s with his parents and Jackie in 1988. They moved to Morayfield in 1992. Over the years they managed various B&B’s around the Brisbane area, Jackie having run her parents B&B in England when she was younger always wanted to open a B&B in Australia, so when they saw the English style B&B at beautiful Mount Mee they couldn’t resist.
Jackie says “the previous owners had put such a lot of work into the property we hoped to continue with the English Pub theme”, with all the memorabilia collected it has a typical English pub feeling for guests to relax and reflect. Though their children have grown up now, their 3 daughters, Victoria the eldest, Alexandra and Tiffany (twins) are still a big part of the running of the B&B helping out whenever they can. The pub has been re-named the ‘Victoria Inn’, the main house ‘Alexandra House’ and the Tea Room ‘Tiffanys’. Although only licenced to sell alcohol to B&B guests they will be opening for locals for light meals etc.
Their vision is to open the Tiffany’s Tea Room at the beginning of November for Devonshire Teas, Afternoon Teas and High Teas.
Included in your stay is Afternoon tea served on arrival.
Prices start from $155 per night.
